Saint Benoit Fransız Lisesi ve MSÜ Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Grafik Ana Sanat Dalı’ndan mezun olduktan sonra, bir çok uluslu reklam ajanslarında üst düzey görev aldı. ATV’de medya yöneticiliği kariyerine başlayan Didem Küçükaltan Oğuz sektörün önde gelen TV prodüksiyon şirketlerinde üst düzey yöneticilik yaptı. Ortağı olduğu Harem Productions AŞ’yi kurarak bir çok tv dramasını hayata geçirdi. Reklam, kurumsal tanıtım, sinema filmleri, görsel çözümlemeler tv dizileri derken... çocukluğundan bu yana hobi olarak yaptığı tasarımları hayata geçirmeye karar verdi.
DB Handmade Arts & Crafts markası altında mutfak tekstili, yılbaşı süsleri, ev dekorasyon ürünleri, kırlent ve yastıklar, bez bebekler, keçe oyuncaklar, uğur ve talih figürleri, melekler, anahtarlıklar tasarlamaya başladı. Hayat hızlandıkça sıradanlaşan üretime inat, birbirinin aynı fason mallardan uzaklaşma hayaliyle hobisini iş koluna döndürdü. Geleneksel el emeği, göz nuru şıklığını tüm evlerde görme hayaliyle işe koyulan Didem Küçükaltan Oğuz zamana dur demenin bir yolunu buldu.
Doğal malzemelerle hazırlanan DB Handmade Koleksiyonunun her kategorisinde o özlenen yaratıcılık ve emek kendini göstermekte, iğne işi yeniden hayat bulmakta. İster mutfak tekstilinden bir önlük seçin, ister bir kapı süsü ya da ahşap bir obje sahip olacağınız her parça özgün bir tasarım olacaktır.
Didem Oguz graduated from the Saint Benoit French Lycée and Mimar Sinan University’s Graphic Arts Department. Her first passion which is Graphic Arts constituted the beginning of her career. She worked as an executive at several international Ad Agencies in Istanbul. Then she moved over to a career as a television producer at the prestigious ATV TV Channel as an executive. Didem went on to start her own company Harem Productions where she executive produced many drama series for various Turkish TV Networks. Later on Didem worked as a Managing Director and COO for top production companies and helped produce countless TV Series, Documentaries, Feature Films and Commercials. Having worked in the entertainment industry for long and fruitful years, Didem decided to go back to her first passion which is to create products of her own design.
Didem decided to take the road less traveled and dreamt of creating a handmade line of her own designs as opposed to the automated and generic manufacturing that crowd our busy lives. Therefore, Didem started her own brand DB Handmade Arts & Crafts as a way to offer handmade, one of a kind products for the home. At DB Handmade Arts & Crafts, Didem designs kitchen textiles, Christmas and new year’s ornaments, home decoration items, lace items, pillows and felt products. According to the Turkish traditions, any product that is made by hand is supposed come from “the hand’s toil and eye’s radiance” and ultimately becomes a gift offering from the heart. Didem Kucukaltan Oguz takes this tradition to heart and puts her love and blessings to every collection she creates whether that be a Christmas tree ornament or an apron from her Kitchen Textiles Collection. In each category of Didem’s collections, you will find a piece of her creativity and best wishes. All the unique handmade items are the embodiment of the warmth and love that goes into their creation.
